Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Daniel Flood, I was born in 1955 and I first started collecting coins as a young boy in the early sixties. In my teenage years, my interests changed to other things, mainly sports and girls, and my passion for collecting U.S. coins didn’t resume until 1997 as an adult.

At this time, I collected and completed the more popular series, Washington quarters, Franklin halves, and Peace dollars. I eventually moved away from working on these types of sets and began working on a type set, using key and semi-key date coins for my type set. While looking for a Barber half dollar for my type set (I happened upon a nice key date, 1901-S, grading AU-58 by NGC), I subsequently fell in love with the Barber half series. While hunting down the big 3 key date Barber quarters (1896-S, 1901-S, and 1913-S), for my type set, my love for Barber coinage also extended to include Barber quarters.

My type set was put on permanent hold, and I became more of a Barber quarter and half specialist over the last 4 years. During this time, I’ve become an active member of the BCCS (Barber Coin Collectors’ Society), writing numerous articles for their journal over the past several years. Two of these years, I won first place in the BCCS literary contest for my articles.

My love for the older coin series now extends to include the Liberty Seated series, my favorites being the quarters, halves, and dollars. To enhance my knowledge of the Liberty Seated series, I joined the LSCC (Liberty Seated Collector’s Club). When the time was right in my life to turn a hobby into a profession, I knew that my passion for the older series, specifically the Barber and Liberty Seated series, would become my specialty. I look to buy and sell PQ coins for their assigned grade, with original surfaces. If you like white and bright older coins, you probably won’t find too many on my website. I’m currently a member of the ANA (American Numismatic Association), member R-1201581. I hope you enjoy my website!
